Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer
From the jacket:
As Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob --- knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella has one more decision to make: life or death. But which is which?
This is the third book from the Twilight series. So, really you have to first grab and read Twilight and New Moon before you dive into this one. I've read the series a few times and so I could just pick up Eclipse and read it in anticipation of the MOVIE! {Yes the movie is coming out at the end of the month but the books are so much better than the movies so read the books!}
Before you pick up this book, remember it was written for Young Adult audiences, so you aren't going to find a vampire story like you'd find in an Anne Rice novel. But that's precisely why I, and my sensitive side, like these books so much. There's suspense without it being too much and there's lots of love and drama... worth a read :)

Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen
From the back:
Orphaned and penniless at the height of the Depression, Jacob Jankowski escapes everything he knows by jumping on a passing train--and inadvertently runs away with the circus. Thrown into the chaos of a second-rate traveling show, Jacob is adrift in a world of freaks, swindlers and misfits.
Jacob uses his veterinary skills in the circus menagerie and becomes a savior for the animals he so loves, including a baffling elephant named Rosie. He also comes to know Marlena, the enchanting star of the equestrian act--and wife of August, a charismatic but cruel animal trainer. Caught between his love for Marlena and his need for belonging, Jacob is freed only by a murderous secret that will bring the big top down.
Water for Elephants is a dark and beautiful portrait of a crumbling circus.
Yes, another historical fiction novel. I can't get enough!! Haha. Even if you aren't a fan of historical fiction, this book will totally draw you in. It was hard to put down once I started it.
Totally recommend this book.
